Size matters! Fascinating new properties can be achieved with nano-sized structures consisting of only a few hundred atoms or even less. But sometimes a little bit more may just be better. Micro-sized structures, which are still only as thick as a hair, are often the right size for microfluidic-devices and innovative measurement systems. High precision at this levels makes many things work. Switzerland is famous for watches, but also for high-tech instruments and diagnostic devices.
The new event “Innovation Landscape Micro & Nano” will show you different examples of just the right sizes. The event on 25th January 2017 is kindly hosted by Endress+Hauser (Sternenhof, Kägenstrasse 2, 4153 Reinach). It has been therefore a natural choice to focus on “measurement systems”, an area, where Endress+Hauser has an outstanding performance in the process industry.
Several interesting topics will be addressed ranging from fluid flow to diagnostic. Measurement devices of Endress+Hauser can be large, but still contain microsized elements of essential function. TrueDyne Sensors AG, a Corporate Venture of Endress+Hauser, goes a step further in micronization by integrating chip-and sensor-technologies – an interesting way forward. Applications in the medical area with nano-sized biological systems can be used for totally new diagnostic approaches and devices.
This event is definitely for you if you are an individual with technical background who would like to know more about exciting innovation in the area of micro and nanotechnology. Networking during the break and the apero will provide great opportunities to find new partners or just enjoy the exchange with curious and like-minded people.
