Patrick Reith, R & D Project Manager MEMS of TrueDyne Sensors AG and Dr. Jana Knall, Product Manager Coriolis of Endress+Hauser Flowtec will give a talk about “Resonant Sensors about monitoring the quality of biogas” at the Congress Biogas on Wednesday, 31st January 2018 from 11.25 to 11.50 am (including question and answer session) in congress 2.
A small excerpt to the topic:
For quality monitoring of biogas, Endress+Hauser Flowtec works together with TrueDyne Sensors AG on novel measuring systems that can measure the composition of gases.
Resonating microstructures are used, which are evaluated with regard to their resonance frequency and Q-factor. From this, it is possible to determine the density and viscosity of the gas mixture via a physical model, and then further derive variables such as the calorific value or the inert gas content.
